Serving The Community--Experience Matters...
Joe has been part of this community for many years, working to make it a better place. He is an Iraq war veteran serving honorably in the Air Force for nearly two decades both as an enlisted NCO and as a commissioned officer. He now serves at the Joint Force Headquarters for the Massachusetts National Guard as a Public Affairs Officer for the Adjutant General.
He serves the community of Plymouth as a Town Meeting Representative where he has advocated for fiscal responsibility, accountability, and transparency. In his time as a town meeting representative he has worked with his colleagues to ensure the funding of our schools and first responders are protected and that we position the community to be ready for any fiscal challenge we may be faced with.
Joe had the honor to serve and protect our community both as a Deputy Sheriff and as part of the Plymouth County Sherriff's inmate reintegration team. In this role, Joe has directly impacted the lives of hundreds of members from our communities. He fought tirelessly to help those impacted by the opioid epidemic to seek out and receive treatment services in order to regain control over their lives. In this same role, he had the opportunity to work with many of our incarcerated veterans to connect them to the VA and eligible state services such as the veteran treatment court. Here, these veterans were able to address many of the invisible wounds of war and receive treatment for the issues they incurred after serving our nation honorably.
Most recently, Joe served the Baker-Polito administration working with the legislature to enhance the quality and delivery of services we provide to our veteran and Gold Star community. He has worked in the trenches, across multiple state agencies to enhance our business practices and interagency communications. He has led the agency's outreach teams including the Women's Veteran Network and the Statewide Advocacy for Veteran Empowerment. These outreach services work to connect our veterans with non-profits, state resources, and federal services. Additionally, Joe spearheaded programs focused on ending homelessness amongst veterans, veteran employment, and suicide prevention. He has been a tireless advocate working on behalf of our state's veteran population.
United By A Common Goal
Together everyone achieves more. I am committed to working with the entire legislature to develop common sense solutions to the issues that face the Commonwealth and our district. I will place an emphasis on economic development, combatting the opioid epidemic, securing local aid for our communities, and holding the line against any tax increases.
I would be honored to represent and serve you on Beacon Hill!
